How do you like to spend your free time: I love a good hike or a long walk on the beach with my family and beloved Texas Heeler, Axel. I also love to travel, and I enjoy every moment I can to soak up new cultural experiences.

What do you love most about teaching: I would say that my favorite aspect of teaching is getting to see the same excitement and enthusiasm in my students' eyes as I experienced at their age in my own band program. Music has always been something that I have been very passionate about and I love getting to see others enjoy it the same way that I do. For me, it is a universal language that unites individuals and it allows students to connect and grow together.

What excites you most about getting started: I am very excited to see this program grow and blossom to its full potential and I am really looking forward to working with the students and getting to know each of them. Student health, happiness and success are my three priorities coming into this program and I can’t wait to get things going and hopefully give these kids a phenomenal 2022-23 band program!
